update on my dove's nest...there are now 3 eggs!!!  I worked the past 3 days and was just able to check on the nest yesterday afternoon and there it was...3 eggs!!!  hopefully it all hatches well...the weather's been very nice here in az.  wish this was az weather all year round!!!  I love spring!!! this would make a very nice layout for my project life later :)  notice the oranges?  those are left over from last year,  my tree has lots of flowers though and I think it will give us more oranges later.  the lemon and the grapefruit trees are also flowering abundantly.  my backyard smells of their fragrance!!!

project life pics

I think I'm on a roll tonight.  I finally figured out what was wrong with my blog... it was me!!!

Here are some of my project life layouts.

project life

the past few months I have been obsessed with project life.  yes, obsessed!!!  Joann's had a big sale on its project life kits and I bought them all!!!  now I have been taking pictures of everything at home.  I have filled one album from old pictures that has been piling up in boxes and now I'm onto the next.  Its quite amazing how easy it is.  I have been making my own cards and journals with the help and inspiration I find in pinterest and other blogs!  I think for those pictures that are hard to scrapbook, project life album is the answer.  I will post some of my finished projects next time.

spring is here in az. my backyard's meager trees and flowers are starting to bloom.  my jasmine plants are full of little white flowers and my backyard is full of their sweet smell.  sure makes me quite homesick...

Make It Monday #137

This is my take for this week's Make It Monday Challenge from Papertrey ink.  I love how Melissa Phillips made her fall card.  I followed her card base design and made it into a Christmas card instead of a Fall card.  Instead of fall leaves, I die cut  a damask snowflake die on a cream felt and used spray adhesive and added fine glitter to the snowflake.  This was the first time I used glitter and felt and it looked good!  Added few leaves from the Holly Jolly Die collection, a bell and few small Christmas balls and of course, the Hands of Time die completes the center.  I added the sentiment from Love Lives Here: Holiday stamp set and another leaf from the holly Jolly collection and a red button.  I did stamp the back of the vellum with snowflakes but it does not seem to appear in the picture.  I sure love this card design by Melissa and I think I will reproduce this card for my holiday cards for this season.  Hope you like it!!!
